Devising from a theme

 Our theme that we chose as a group was ethical the reason that we decided in this theme is because we as a group had some great ideas for one of the themes, we wanted to be different and we knew that everyone would choose one of the obvious ones. We chose ethical as it talks about real life issues that may effect people and we wanted to be able to show this to an audience that may be able to relate on some sort of level.


The topic we chose to do was abortion, our reasoning for this being that we are able to get loads of information including peoples personal stories and statistics that will make our peice even more realistic but with the correct evidence. We decided to reject things like war as we have done this many times before and we wanted to try something different so we were able to be more creative.

As a group we came up with loads of research, we chose a song from Beyoncé called heaven this is because it’s really emotion and we feel it could link to the feeling after having an abortion. Rudi looked up loads of statistical evidence and stories from people that had had abortions these stories were really heartfelt and we feel they would be great to include these into our piece.

we chose this style so we could show the reality of something that happens all the time. 


Homework- 

The piece of sound I chose was a heartbeat slowing down it’s a heartbreaking piece but will show the reality of what happens.

 My group- Stimulus-mind map that was surrounded in thoughts that someone with mental health struggles with. Chair duet

Mine and dolly’s chair duet- I personally feel that are chair duet turnt out really well, at first me and dolly struggled to work together and come up with storied to relate to the stimulus however once we got our end story we worked really hard and came up with loads of different ideas. Based of the stimulus we come up with the idea that the man on the chair is in lockdown and everything flying around out his feeling surrounding him and all of the comments being said online about corona all over the internet. We decided to make ours about a close relabsionship between us and the chair as it’s like that chair is now our safe place so everytime we try and leave we always end up back in that chair no matter what.
