Video of my groups small performance-
In my group it was me, Robyn, Molly and Kayleigh and we wanted to create a storyline that wasn't obvious as we believed that everyone would look and make a piece about bullying so we wanted to make ours the compete opposite of what everyone would think of. Our chosen practitioner that we decided to use was Gecko as well as abit of frantic assembly this is because we liked the idea of the unusual and weird style of acting that is eye catching to the audience. We first thought about how we would have our opening formation so we decided to stand in a circle to make the audience question on what we were thinking and looking at. In our workshop in which we had with the company Gecko a few months ago we liked the idea of someone making a clap sound with their hands and everyone else's attention on stage being dragged to it and looking directly at the hands no matter where they were being held. So that was our main part of the performance our call and response to drag in the audience.
Claire gave us loads of options On the board of a variety of different techniques in which as a group we were asked to use at least once in our performance. Our first technique included dramatic pauses which was portrayed as we took it in turns to stop and look at the hands quickly We then chose choral speaking which means us actors on stage saying the same thing at the same time which can be found at 00:19 when all four of us repeat the line "I feel like There is no escape".
I personally feel that this was really dramatic and could be very interesting as well coming across intimidating towards the audience, as as we started of quite which quickly moved to loud and intense. And our last technique in which we chose was still images as after we said our chosen line (I feel like there is know escape") which is the lone everyone chose to repeat , we got down into a position and stayed still until the end showing us portraying a still image. One section that in my opinion was successful in our performance rehearsal was being able to chose our own line as everyone was involved as well as being able to chose our own still image as we didn't have one director we had four so it was equal for everyone within the group.
